Check it out here. - 2/4/25 – Premier David Crisafulli announced Exceptional Disaster Assistance Recovery Grants – up to $75,000 will be made available to assist directly impacted primary producers, small businesses and non profit organisations with the costs of clean-up and reinstatement.

They’ll be donating travel and labour to anyone affected in the following affected areas – Adavale, Quilpie, Yaraka, Wyandra, Eromanga & Thargomindah. - RFCS/QRIDA FLOOD RECOVERY INFORMATION SESSIONS – JUNDAH, STONEHENGE & LONGREACH: Rural Financial Counsellor Richard Lewis & QRIDA Regional Area Manager Bradley Whittington will be in Jundah, Stonehenge & Longreach on 1st & 2nd May hosting disaster recovery information sessions for flood-hit producers in Western QLD. For SWQ producers: Rural Financial Counselling Service – Southern Queensland is also on the road this week with sessions in Quilpie, Eromanga, Toompine, Eulo and Cunnamulla. the Rural Financial Counselling Service – Southern Queensland will hold free flood recovery information sessions in: - Quilpie 28 April, 3–5 pm and 29 April, 2–5 pm
- Eromanga 29 April, 9–11 am
- Toompine 30 April, 9–11 am
- Eulo 30 April, 2–4 pm

General Tips for recovery after a flood event

- Mould – clean gear as best as you can and spray with a mix of vinegar and oil of cloves. Especially important for leather gear such as saddles etc.

- If you are coordinating fodder through other industry contacts or local networks, ensure that fodder meets strict biosecurity restrictions and does not contain invasive weeds, seeds and pests including fire ants to prevent introducing them to your property.
